I retired after 31 years in public education, the last three years as a K-2 principal, with half day kindergarten and no preschool. I needed a plan to help my teachers to handle the challenges of their early learners, so I created a meeting called “A Day in the Life” where the preschool staff in the area, met with me every 6 weeks for about a year. We shared curriculums, challenging behaviors and what is considered developmentally appropriate teaching strategies at preschool and kindergarten. What a great experience!! For the last six years, I have been lucky enough to be the Head Start/Preschool Education Supervisor with Butler County Educational Service Center. I am in this early childhood world and LOVE every minute of it!! The experiences I have had in my career have brought me to this point…spending time with little people and experiencing their joy makes my day!!!
